The Seminar will be held at the Gandhigram, Dindigul, Tamilnadu, India, 5 to 6 February 2009. It is organized by Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Gandhigram Rural University, Gandhigram. Objectives of the Seminar are: • To review the past and present development in watershed management approach, • To disseminate the recent technologies in watershed management especially soil and water conservation, Dry land farming, livestock management ,new technologies such as precision farming, validated ITKs as well as in alternate land use systems among farming communities, • To identify the problems and find out Solutions in watershed management research and project implementation, • To bring out technical bulletin with recommendations for the benefit of Academicians, Researchers, NGO's and policy makers on watershed based projects.
